For over a year, I followed the growing number of environmental demonstrations and it became obvious that the climate strike would be important. When Greta Thunberg announced that she was going to be in Montreal for the march, we all knew this was going to be huge. With 500,000 protesters, it was, in fact, the biggest demonstration in Canadian history. With a crowd that size, I quickly realized that my only chance to get a good picture of Greta and the droves of demonstrators at the same time would be on stage. After a lot of insisting, I managed to get two minutes. Greta Thunberg climbed the stairs and went directly to the microphone; she then turned towards the sun and cracked a little smile. I have to admit that I did also.
